Geothermal used to augment steam infrastructure

Project Overview

In support of the University of Toronto Scarborough’s climate-positive plan and transition to low-carbon energy, Diverso was engaged to install a geothermal system at the Andrews Building to help address the limitations of its steam-based heating infrastructure. Specialized drilling techniques, including angled drilling, were used to navigate site constraints and existing infrastructure.

Diverso worked closely with Black & McDonald, the contractor, to support the successful delivery of this project. Acting as a key liaison between Diverso and representatives from the University of Toronto Scarborough, they played an integral role in aligning project requirements and facilitating effective communication across the board.
