Zero-cost Utility Model

This is a great option for condo and rental developers!

  • Diverso designs, builds, owns, and operates the system for 30-years.
  • Developer does not make any capital contribution to the system (zero cost to the developer) and our contract is off balance sheet to ensure no impact to project financing.
  • The cost of the system is paid for by the building owner over the 30-year contract.
  • The monthly charge is typically recovered via sub-metering of unit owners or tenants. Condo fees remain the same and in the case of a rental, the NOI typically increases.
  • Diverso provides an industry leading 30-year performance guarantee for the life of the contract: If the system does not perform as specified, it is Diverso’s financial and contractual obligation to resolve. Diverso does not get paid if the system does not perform as specified.
Design Build Model

Geared towards purpose-built rental developments where energy costs are included in the rent.

  • Diverso designs and builds the geothermal system.
  • Developer pays full cost of system up-front and retains ownership of the system.
  • Developer may engage Diverso to monitor the system on an annual fee-based arrangement.
Contribution Utility Model

Mainly oriented towards purpose-built rental developments utilizing thermal sub-metering

  • Diverso designs and builds and owns the geothermal system.
  • Developer pays an upfront capital contribution to lower the monthly charge which is then a flow-through to the sub-metering charge, ultimately increasing NOI.
  • Developer still gets the benefit of the industry leading 30-year performance guarantee.
